2. Inform dietitians of consumer education services available at area Hy-Vee stores.

3. Familiarize dietitians with special formulation foods available for people with food intolerances and allergies.

2. Understand the current role of hormones inthe treatment of hot flashes, as well as alternatives.

3. Understand the options for osteoporosis prevention when hormones are not the best choice.

Presenter: Kerry McGannon, Ph.D.
                 University of Iowa

Objectives:

1. Understand the benefits of physical activity and two modes of pysical activity prescription.

2. Increase awareness of the road blocks/barriers to women's physical activity participation.

3. Increase awareness of current population health intiatives in Canada and the USA to address physical activity      participation problem.

4. Implications of the foregoing for practice/health practitioners.
