Program Title: Room Service in a Rural Critical Access Hospital.

Presentor:  Monica Lursen, RD, LD      Nutrition Therapy Manager & Diabetes Program Coordinator

Objectives:

The attendees will:

1. Understand the rational for changing from a tradition meal service model to room service delivery.

2. Identify the timeline and planning required by the entire hospital for the conversion to room service.

3. Recognize the patient satisfaction values observed with the change to room service.


Program Outline:

I. Introduce the hospital setting and staffing at Waverly Health Center

II. Discuss the rational and basis for the decision to change to room service.

III. Explain the preliminary planning and organization that was done

V. Explain the particular procedures used at WHC

VI. Show pictures of the facility and processes during the above components
